Well, the usual reminiscience goes on as per the forthcoming end of the year. I think that this new year business is just part of your spiritual training, that tells us “Once upon a time, you were looking forward to this 2022. Now, you are on the other side of it… because everything that has a beginning has an end.”
One day, just like the pages on the calendar, another chapter falls away leaving you open to start the next whether you are ready for it or not. One day this will be your life. At present, this is life
Just as the seasons and the years, decades, lifetimes, centuries, millenia. You cannot stop the inevitable, but with a bit of care and focus you can make it the best year, decade, lifetime that could possibly be as the logical conclusion of just living your life. Just as the meaning of Iscariot, your rising to the stars and then the heavens or what is beyond as susceptible to the sabotage of your mistakes as can be
Be thankful for what you have, notwithstanding the deeds – good or bad, or other – that you may have done or caused through inaction. Prove all things, hold fast that which is good, abstain from all appearance of evil. This year is the first year that I have spent without being imprisoned for things I have not done, since 2019. A milestone? Doubt it. Breakthrough? Not hardly. Better? Can’t deny.
This year has taken a lot of people. Some of the closest people I have. Some famous, some influential, some role model, and some not-so famous. I am thankful for the wisdom they imparted onto me. It doesn’t matter how rich or popular you are. My interpretation of rich is not quantifiable by any amount of currency, no matter how granular the decimal places are
Some people who have been out of range during my long sleep have returned. Some will never return, but they will always be with me in spirit. Conjuring an image of them in my mind, I can call on such wisdom whenever I need to – and they will be with me forever it doesn’t take words or constant contact to appreciate their impact on my life
And so, in less than 12 hours now, we will turn the page. Most people turn the page together – but I don’t. It’s the sort of thing I would rather celebrate on my own. And time? There is plenty of time to do the other things: not because they are easy, but because they are hard
Here is my message to you; friends and enemies alike, from the humble and honest, to the back-stabber and twist; I hope you get what you deserve, and that it helps you on your way. I can only show you the door, you’re the one who has to walk through it
